Ayurvedic medicines have several health benefits. Internationally acclaimed personal care brand manufacturing ayurvedic products located in Corlim was established in 1952. It has been manufacturing a wide range of skincare, oral care, body care, and personal care products that instill positive energy in its customers. The legacy of the founder, who initiated the company by formulating the first ayurvedic toothpaste using 20 natural herbs, still lives on.

The company owns an ultra-modern factory spread across 90,000 sq ft. In 1997, the American Concrete Institute awarded the factory the “Most Outstanding Concrete Structures of India.” Every day it runs huge loads bearing massive operation costs. The Diesel Generator (DG) ensures continuous power supply without disrupting industrial operations. To reduce the electricity bills, the company approached SUN360 to set up a solar power plant.

SUN360 flush-mounted 688 solar panels on the circular roof. The flush-mounted structure consists of mini rails with special hardware. The high-quality German hardware has a warranty of 25 years to prevent frequent replacements and save service costs.

The solar panels are connected to a string inverter with 10 Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). Due to the circular roof, the irradiance of each panel differs from one point to another. The multi-MPPT inverter maximizes the output of the solar power plant by reducing the irradiance difference between the solar panels.

The slip and corrosion-resistant FRP walkways protect the roof sheeting from damage and ensure safe maintenance of the solar panels. A network of water pipelines was installed on the roof to maintain the panels. Since the solar power system has three sources of power; the grid, solar power plant, and diesel generator, SUN360 has configured the Remote Monitoring System (RMS) in such a way that the management can track the utilization of all three power sources in one consolidated dashboard.

With the installation of a 375 KW solar power plant, the factory saves over INR 35 lakh per year while following its core value of using natural resources for better living. SUN360 takes immense pride in having collaborated with the company acclaimed by PETA, BBC Knowledge, and American Concrete Institute (U.S.A)
